right now I\’m taking 500mg of metformin to help with my diabetes, but I was wondering what I can eat that will help. I do not want to listen to a lengthy video. just a simple answer will do.

  1. You should make a balanced distribution of the 3 main meals during the day and eat in small portions.
    Try to consume foods rich on fibers, healthy carbohydrates, omega 3, good fats. Vegetables are very recommended. You will do well if you use salads as a starter, since it is rich on fibers, it is slowly degraded in the intestine and it gives the sensation of satiety. It is healthier consuming fish than red meat.
    And now let’s talk about fruits: I recommend to my patients not to eat more than 2 fruits a day. Pay attention at the fruits with high sugar content, like bananas, fig, dates, grapes, etc.. these ll are fruits that need to be consumed in reduced quantities.
    Avoid foods containing high cholesterol, fats, sugar, high carbohydrates, sodium, alcohol.
