My blood sugar is 323 so what to do

Question

My blood sugar is 323 so what to do

Answer ( 1 )

  1. Hi respective user,

I went through the blood sugar levels you sent in (323 mg/dL), and noted that was found really high.

However, there are a few questions I need to get answered:
    – was it fasting? immediately after eating? 2 hours after eating?
    – any chronic illness you might be suffering? (thyroid? adrenal problems?)
    – have you been diagnosed as diabetic?
    – if yes, what medications have you been using so far?
    – or any other medication used: antihypertensive? diuretics? steroids?

I want to get a complete picture of you health status for the moment, that’s why I’m asking to get all those information.

For the moment, I can only ask to repeat a few blood tests:
    – fasting blood sugar test
    – oral glucose tolerance test
    – HbA1C test to measure mean blood sugar level for the last three months.

If you are taking any medication to lower blood glucose (hypoglycemiant), please take another dose to get blood sugar reduced.

Discuss my suggestions with your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment.

    Wish fast recovery.
    Dr.Albana
