Sugar level 550 last week in ER 2 bags IV new meds and still 390 what do we do now? back to ER?

    I understand your concern.

    Having blood sugar levels of 550 mg/dL is considered dangerous.
    I’m happy to know that the current blood sugar levels are being reduced to 390 mg/ dL.

    You are on the right way to bring sugar down.
    No need to send the patient to ER again as long as his clinical parameters are within normal range and not experiencing neurological alterations.

    Continue with the changes in diet and lifestyle. If possible, advise patient to get more physically involved.

    Take hypoglycemic medications as prescribed by your doctor.
