Tired
I am ALWAYS tired. Its been going on as long as I remember. Even when playing sports when I was younger I would still do things like sleep during double headers, sleep in class etc. I have never felt unhappy or depressed and have taken every test I can think of. Sleep apnea was ruled out, thyroid is fine, blood tests have not shown any problems and working out and being in good shape doesnt matter either. I was diagnosed years ago with ADD and have taken meds for that. Even on a stimulant I am exhausted. What could possibly be wrong? I am 47 now and so done with feeling like this.

Hi and thanks for responding. I have always been able to sleep and stay asleep. Its the waking up thats hard. 5 hrs feels the same as 8 or 12 hrs. I never just fall asleep like narcalepsy but if given the chance I could lay down and go right to sleep. I take a multivitamin and B complex and have always been good at drinking water. I have never been a sugar or junk eater either thats what is so bizzare. I do take a small dose of blood pressure meds and cholestetol as well. I can see being tired when the methylphenidate runs out but Im still tired when its “active”. I have had cardiac exams as well. So strange. I have read magnesium may help but Im not aure.
Hello back,
Thank you for your reply.
Now, I noted that you take cholesterol meds. Can you mention the names?
It is common for statins used to treat high cholesterol can cause you to have muscle and fatigue problems. We usually recommend Ubiquinol CoQ10 to overcome these problems.
Yes, magnesiu, zinc, calcium supplements can also help regain energy as well as vit B. That’s why I usually advise energy boosting vitamins and minerals.
Looking forward to have the requested info in.
