  1. Hello,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.

    1. There are various causes to experiencing heart palpitations and irregular heart beats. A good physical examination and a complete cardiac check up is highly recommended.
Good to know that you’ve already set an appointment with your cardiologist. At least, you will start to evaluate how your cardiovascular system is working.

EKG, echocardiogram, and Holter monitoring are the first cardiac screening to run.
Complete blood work to exclude anemia; thyroid panel to rule out thyroid disorders; blood electrolytes to measure to rule out related deficiencies.

    2. You are currently taking amoxicillin. This is an antibiotic of penicillin group with a wide spectrum of action. Sometimes, its use would cause problems with heart palpitations but not necessarily.

I think you should start this treatment as suggested by your doctor. If you will notice anything unusual while on amoxicillin, you should stop taking it and report to your doctor. If the new symptoms will be caused by amoxicillin for real; then, another alternative antibiotic will be prescribed.

Hope this answers your query. Let me know if you need further assistance.
