Painful gums below tooth

Question

I got hit on my lower jaw just below the teeth 3 days ago with a pointed object.

The next day I got a toothache.

Actually the tooth itself doesn’t hurt but the gums below one particular tooth is hurting when I bite and when I bend down.

It’s become worse now and I’m taking pain killers

  1. Hello

I have just received your email and I have gone through your medical history carefully.

You got hit on your jaw and now having pain that is worsening. I believe you might have not applied cold or ice on your jaw to reduce inflammation caused by trauma (hit).
This explains why you are having worsening pain just now.

I advise to apply cold compresses on your cheek or jaw to reduce inflammation of the gums and ease the pain.

Take pain killers as advised by your doctor. apply glycerin of borax on your gums to reduce inflammation.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
    Dr.Albana
