High Blood Sugar 400 – How to Lower at Home?

Hello,

I just measured my blood sugar, it was as high as 400. Is there something we can do I mean at home? What home remedies to reduce blood glucose at home?

    Hello,

    I have gone through your medical query carefully and here is my advice.

    Having blood sugar level up to 400 mg/dL is considered really high. There are 2 main explanations:
    – if you are diabetic, then, should take proper measures to get it reduced to acceptable levels. So, changes in lifestyle and diet regimen are highly recommended along with taking hypoglycemic medications.
    – if not a diabetic, then, first should run various diagnostic tests to determine whether you have diabetes or not.
    Secondly, start immediate healthy changes in your diet and lifestyle regimen.

    Now, your main concern this time is to quickly reduce blood sugar from 400 mg/dL level using home remedies.
    If you are taking insulin, or any other diabetes medication, I’d recommend to take an extra dose.

    With regards to home remedies for diabetes, please take note that their effect might be notable after some time of using them.
    However, what I suggest to my patients is to have have some brisk walking once you find out that your blood sugar is as high as 400.
    I also advise to drink plenty of water fast. So, drink 2 glasses of water fast. Have some rest for a few minutes, then, drink the third glass. Go to bathroom as soon as you feel the need.
    Cinnamon tea with lemon can also help reduce blood sugar of 400 back to acceptable levels.
