Hello my dear,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concern.
To add some more information: Squints is a condition in which the eyeballs are not aligned properly and point in different directions. It is known as Strabismus in medical terms and adult strabismus if occurring in adults.
The first thing in treating squint is to find out what is causing it:
– most of the time it occurs since childhood. Is this your situation? The youngest the patient, the greatest the chances to get fully recovered.
– metabolic diseases: diabetes, thyroid disease might cause squints in adults. Have you checked your blood sugar levels and thyroid hormones?
– myasthenia gravis?
– cardiovascular events (stroke)?
– brain issues (trauma or any tumor)?
When we find the real cause, and try to correct it, then, squint will get automatically corrected.
So, to me, try to find a good eye doctor and run a few diagnostic tests to determine the right cause to your squint. Then, can decide together the best treatment strategy.
As per treatment, eye muscle exercise , wearing glasses containing prisms and the last choice is surgery if others won’t work.
Hope this answers your query. Please provide the answers to the questions mentioned above for a more specific opinion.
